The Executive Mayor of Vhembe District Municipality, Cllr. Miyelani Chauke, officially handed over a contractor for the implementation of the R3 million Disaster Relief Project at the Mutshedzi Water Plant.
The project aims to rehabilitate and upgrade the water infrastructure to improve the reliability and sustainability of water supply to affected communities. This intervention forms part of the Municipality’s ongoing commitment to addressing water challenges and ensuring residents have access to clean and safe drinking water.
Speaking during the handover, the Executive Mayor reaffirmed the Municipality’s commitment to improving service delivery through strategic infrastructure investment and partnerships. The project is expected to restore the functionality of the Mutshedzi Water Plant and enhance water services for surrounding communities.
